I can't get the meal log software to work! What do I
do?
All of the Network Fitness forms are built in the Adobe
Acrobat Reader format, and you must have the 8.0 or newer
release of at least the Acrobat Reader program (which is
free...click
here to get it), if not the full Acrobat Professional
software package in order to use the functional tools
created to make your job of planning and tracking your meals easier.
To
test the functionality, look toward the top right corner of
your Adobe window that the form is inside of, and look for
the words 'Highlight Fields.' If you do not see these
words, you probably need to update your Adobe Reader
version. Be sure to select 'Highlight Fields' so that
all the areas you are supposed to input info into stand out
in a light blue color. Any fields with a red border
around them are required fields, and you must enter data
into them in order to submit the form to us. By the
way, the top left corner of almost all forms is the area for
your name.

My knee hurts! Is there anything I can do to help it
before I see a doctor? The Trigger Point Massage rollers are absolutely FANTASTIC
at releasing the residual tension you carry in your tight
muscles, thereby relieving some, if not all, of the
discomfort you might feel in your knee or other joints.
If you are not using the rollers and your knee hurts, then
start using them every single day for
at least 1 week! If you see an improvement, then
continue the use of the rollers and a good stretching
routine, and you may not need any further assistance.
Get the
rollers and balls at:
Trigger Point
Technologies tools
If you see no improvement after a week of consistent roller
and stretching therapy on your legs, then you should make an
appointment with a qualified massage therapist, active
release therapist, chiropractor, or physical
therapist. After visiting a bodywork specialist, you
might be referred to a medical doctor or surgeon in the
unfortunate event that your problem is more significant than
residual tension within the muscles. Many people
are absolutely amazed at the pain relief possible
through specific bodywork techniques with and without the
aid of a therapist.
If you would like some hands-on instruction
with the Trigger Point system and some good
performance therapy stretches, contact Jeff (the first
certified Re-Gen Instructor in California) at:

I am having trouble with my heart monitor! How do I
fix it?The Network Fitness monitor team has developed some "cheat
sheets" to help with many of the models. Check out
each one by clicking the text above the model you have
on the Polar Monitors Page (click
here). You'll find tips to help you with most
normal operations of your monitor. More specialized
cheat sheets can be created for you if you submit your
questions to the Network Fitness team. If you do not
see a link for a cheat sheet above your particular monitor,
be sure to request one by submitting feedback on our
feedback
page.

The Network Fitness website looks all screwy in my browser.
Can you fix it?The Network Fitness website looks best in Internet Explorer
4.0 or later. If you are using a newer version of
Internet Explorer, then maybe you need to adjust the size of
the font on the browser. Check your font size under
the View title in your File menu bar. We formatted the
site with the Medium setting in mind, but you can change the
font size to one of 5 options under the View pull-down menu.
If you use a Mac, you might not be able to view the site
properly, even with adjusting the view font size option.
We are working on a more cross-platform-friendly version on
the website, but do not have a release date yet. Sorry
for any inconvenience this may have caused.

What are
some good boots for the Mud Run?
Jeff's personal favorite is the
RESPONSE SERIES 8" SIDE ZIP made by Magnum Boots.
He says, "They are light-weight (each boot weighs just 16
ounces), breath well, drain water great (good for when
exiting the water reservoir or the mud pits), and provide
the support of a boot but the comfort of a high-top sneaker.
By far they are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn in
either the Mud Run or during my service in the Corps."

Check out Gunnery Sgt Ermey's Website (the Drill Instructor
from Full Metal Jacket)
Remember the movie Full Metal Jacket? Well the Drill
Instructor in the Marine Corps Boot Camp scenes is a
real-life retired Marine Drill Instructor who now hosts a TV
show called
Mail Call on the History channel. His
website is
www.rleeermey.com The flash animation intro is a
politically-incorrect assessment of your qualifications to
even go to his website. (many of you will find it
entertaining, especially if you enjoyed his role as the D.I.
in Full Metal Jacket)
