World Famous Camp Pendleton Mud Run 2004

This was my second Mud Run,
but the first in Boots-N-Uts (pronounced like yootz).
I burned 1500 calories in less than 90 minutes!
I trained for 3 months leading up to this,
utilizing the techniques my wife and I developed
for obstacle course and 10K training.

If you like covering a race course that
doesn't feel so much like a running race,
while trouncing around in the mud like you're
still 5 years old, then you've GOT to do the Mud Run.
I got hooked on this event
when I served in the Marines in the early '90s,
and have been a fan ever since!
