C-Training

WHAT is it

C-Training  focuses on training the body to functionally move correctly before adding 'weight' to the equation. The training is both anaerobic and aerobic in nature and is varied to constantly challenge the body to promoted better fitness and overall performance. Training is done using various modalities and methods where you could be using an Olympic barbell or kettlebell in one session coupled with parachute runs and jumping rope. Metabolic conditioning is a key component to this training so doing it correctly first, then at a faster pace, and then adding the appropriate resistance/weight is emphasized. You will constantly be working on improving your movement patterns and therefore reinforcing what C-Training promotes.... putting 'fitness on function' (and yes we have fun too).

Will you lose weight? body fat? have abs of steels? buns of steel? etc etc...only you can achieve that through your focused commitment in training, eating right and proper recovery.

WHO can do this

The training  is open to all fitness levels because the weight levels and intensity will be scaled to what you are capable of.  If you have never jumped rope, swung a kettlebell or lifted anything heavier than a 5lb dumbbell before, your training will be scaled accordingly so have no fear!!!

You must do the Functional Movement Screen to be accepted into the group (see under 'how' to get started).

WHY should I do this

Only you can answer this question.

HOW do I get started

You need to RSVP with me in order to get in the group and to do a Functional Movement Screen and fitness assessment ($100) prior to joining. By doing an FMS we can see what corrections need to be implemented and safely bring you into the training (if you have trained with me in the past or are a current client, you have completed the FMS already).

WHEN is it

It is important to arrive 5 minutes early to check in.  Arriving on time to this type of training is important because everyone starts at the same time. Each session will consist of functional exercises and warm up, skills session/education and training, and then the actual workout is performed, followed by SMR, stretching and proper cool-down.
